I don't know if someone else has already done this, I haven't been able to find it... so I decided to do it myself and though that it might be also good to share it as well. I know it's not terribly useful but decorators always like to have more options. Personally I couldn't play without those Goggalor's mods. All wall-hanging objects are already made, what more can you ask for? Well, there are times when I also enjoy to be able to shift rugs and ceiling objects (or objects cloned from them) instead of using OMSPs. Of course I'm not going to start a series of "Shiftable Rugs" mods (well, who knows... xD), all I'm saing is that it's a good thing making some custom items cloned from rugs to be shiftable.
Yeah, well... with this picture I'm rather presuming of my new fix for Maxis fences... xD
Bueno, sí... con esta foto más bien estoy presumiendo de mi nuevo fix para las vallas de Maxis... xD |
Anyway, all these objects now would be easier to place in stories with deformed walls (i.e. ceilings with different heights) as well as under certain things such as trims, cabinets, etc. Plants were something I've been wanting to modify for a long time. Because you never get to actually see the plants unless you have a special "no fade" camera mod installed (as I do). But I still feel that they look much better in a lower position, even when they have to be placed by a wall not to appear "floating in the air" (I use them with the extracted wall brackets by Menacemen44 at MTS, which are shiftable as well).
Now it's easier to hide the sprinkler (UNI) beneath a hood, for example. Ahora es más fácil esconder el aspersor (UNI) debajo de una campana, por ejemplo. |
Stories above or below 16 clicks now can be properly iluminated. Los pisos por encima o por debajo de los 16 clicks ahora se pueden iluminar correctamente. |
In the picture above, 2 value lamps are placed on foundation level and 2 exotic lamps are placed on the next level; both levels are properly iluminated. The case that made me want to have shiftable ceiling lights, was slightly different from the one shown in the picture (I remembered that after taking it, lol). I had one story with walls at normal height (16 clicks), it had floors but not ceilings. The upper story was 4 clicks high (foundations height), it had ceilings but not floors. Since there wasn't any floors between those 2 stories, both together looked like one single tall story with walls painted in green and white: the lower part was painted green, and the upper part was painted white (the same as the ceiling). The problem was that the upper story was always dark. But not anymore (at least during the night... I still have to find a way to have it iluminated during daylight too... but probably I'll just keep the lamps on all day long).
Of course shiftable objects is a feature from AL, so that EP is required for these mods. Some of these objects have been recategorized as well (to know the reasons read this post). "Non recategorized" versions are not included because I doubt in first place that someone is really going to download any of these, lol. Anyway, the mods are packaged by EP so just pick and choose.
Ceiling objects that I haven't made shiftable yet: Some fireworks from CEL (the animation would be misplaced and I don't see the use) and all the club lights from NL (their BHAVs got me totally confused and I couldn't get it to work... I'm not sure it's posible).
It's best to install them in "Bins" folder. If you have all the EPs and SPs, then you better download them all in one package:
